Museum and Outreach Programs
A variety of options are available for curriculum aligned school museum and outreach programs.
At the museum, the 2007-2008 school year offers tours and hands on programs of temporary museum exhibits and the permanent streetscape exhibit which features a recreated drug store and restored streetcar. ETHS offers interactive classroom outreach programs as well. They address many areas of the social studies curriculum and there are options for all grade levels. Spring 2008 will see the opening of the new "Voices of the Land" signature exhibit. Read more....

Civil Rights Movement Institute

Nashville Sit-In
The 10th Annual Teachers History Institute, "Freedom Spirit: Tennessee and the Civil Rights Movement," will be held June 1-6, 2008. Fifteen Tennessee social studies teachers will be selected to participate in this all expenses paid institute which is funded through a grant from Humanities Tennessee, an independent affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
