John Rice Irwin of the
Museum of
Appalachia and Ed Westcott, the first photographer of the Army’s Manhattan Engineering District, were among some 20 organizations and individuals honored for their contributions to the region’s history at the ETHS Annual Meeting on May 6. Now in its 27th year, the ETHS Awards of Excellence program annually recognizes outstanding individuals and organizations for their work in preserving and promoting the region’s history.
