The 2003 "Teaching Appalachia: Image and Reality of Appalachian Culture" Teachers History Institute Lesson Plans have been published in "Teaching Tennessee History, Volume IV." These plans were developed by participants of the 2003 Teachers History Institute. Each participating teacher was required to develop, pilot, and submit a lesson plan as part of their commitment to the institute.
