Jack Neely Brown Bag Lecture
Local author Jack Neely will discus his newest book Knoxville: This Obscure Prismatic City, a compilation of articles featured in his acclaimed "Secret History" column which appears in the Metro Pulse. Neely will discuss the intriguing stories and people that have helped to shape Knoxville as it is today. Neely is the author of numerous books and the recipient of multiple journalism awards, including the East Tennessee Historical Society's "History in the Media" Award. Books will be available to be purchased and signed.
The program is free and open to the public and will begin at noon at the East Tennessee History Center, 601 S. Gay Street. Guests are invited to bring a "Brown Bag' lunch and enjoy the lecture. Soft Drinks will be available.
