McClung Museum on February 21, Dr. Joan Markel will explore the diverse personalities who populated Knoxville during the Civil War and how their lives were affected by the events of 1861-1865. Dr. Markel will use photographic panoramas, letters, diaries, and important books by those who lived through the war to present a word and image portrait of the community in conflict.
The lecture is free and open to the public and sponsored by the Frank H. McClung Museum, The East Tennessee Civil War Alliance, and The East Tennessee Historical Society. The McClung Museum is located at 1324 Circle Park Drive on UT Campus. Parking is available in the circle drive.
